Clear, Direct, Honest, No BS Coaching

My Approach to Coaching

My approach to coaching doesn’t really fit in a box. I’m ok with that. So are my clients.

I’ve developed my style over many years of helping clients. My coaching continues to evolve.

I look at a coaching session as, first and foremost, a conversation between two human beings. I’ll listen more than I talk, certainly, but—unlike many coaches—I will be direct in giving you my thoughts or opinions. What you do with that advice is up to you, but I don’t just sit back and reflect on what you’re saying. We’ll engage. We’ll discuss. We’ll work together to help you get through whatever issues you may be dealing with.

What kind of coaching do I do?

What don’t I do?

How do my clients describe me?

This is the place in the website where I’m supposed to hit on your pain points, so that you can feel you need to talk to me.

I’m not going to do that.

You know why you’re looking at coaching websites.

I’m supposed to put in a million keywords to make Big Brother happy. Target 20 or more "niches"—as was suggested to me when starting to work on my coaching practice.

I don't work that way. And I won't work that way.

Because I don’t believe in segmenting my clients—or people, generally—into marketing niches.

Every client comes to me for unique reasons, and with unique goals.

I focus on that.

You may come to me with a very definite issue. That’s great. But it’s also great if you come to me because something just doesn’t feel right, and you want to get to the bottom of that.

As I said, coaching is client-driven. I don’t come in with an agenda. Nor do I come in with a predefined strategy or approach. That will develop, naturally and organically, as we talk.

I don’t BS. I don’t repeat new age cliches.

I also don’t try to sell packages if you don’t need them. I don’t try to up sell you. I don’t try to keep the process going when you’ve gotten what you need.

My clients frequently say I’m personable and approachable and tell me that I’m able to put them at ease.

My clients also consistently value my clear, direct, honest approach to dealing with their problems.

What are My Coaching Sessions Like?

One-on-One Hourly Coaching

My coaching approach is client driven. I don’t have an agenda, we start where you are, and we can work on whatever is most important to you.

I’ll listen actively, and make comments to help clarify the situation.

I will give my opinions when appropriate, but of course it’s up to you what to do with opinions or other feedback.

What Does It Cost?

I charge $250 / hour, $600 for a 3-hour package, or $1000 for a 6-hour package.

How Long Does it Take?

That depends on you, on what you need to work on and the type of support that will be most helpful.

That said, many issues can be dealt with in 1-3 sessions.

About Me

I’ve been writing resumes at quantumtechresumes.com for many years—and continue to do so. This coaching practice has evolved out of the coaching I’ve done with clients in my resume business.

I’m also an unpublished (for now) novelist, avid reader, and student of history, philosophy, and martial arts.
